More Than Skin Deep

Temple Tallow started with a simple idea: skincare made with ingredients I could recognize. I wanted it to be simple and natural.

So I started making my own.

I never intended to sell it. But after enough friends and family asked if they could buy some, I decided to listen.

Our flagship Tallow Butter is made with just seven thoughtfully chosen ingredients: grass-fed tallow, jojoba oil, arrowroot powder, rosemary extract, vitamin E, frankincense, and vanilla. Nothing unnecessary. Just simple, nourishing skincare, made in small batches here in San Diego, California.

The name Temple comes from a conviction rooted in Scripture:

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

We believe that caring for your body goes beyond skincare. It means caring for your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Being intentional about what you put on your body, how you use it, and how you live.

That’s what Temple is about.

Made to Move

I believe our bodies were made to be used. To run, paddle, climb, explore, and do hard things. To get outside and experience the incredible world God created.

Over the next few years, I’m setting out to see what mine is capable of. Five challenges, each pushing me in a different way:

  • Paddle across the Catalina Channel
  • Break my college mile personal best of 4:13
  • Run three marathons in three weeks
  • Complete the 222 mile John Muir Trail in 14 days or less
  • Summit Mount Kilimanjaro

I’ll be documenting the training, adventures, setbacks, and everything in between.

Not because everyone needs to chase extreme goals, or because the accomplishments themselves are what matter. But because I hope my journey encourages you to get outside, move your body, challenge yourself, and discover what you’re capable of.

You don’t have to cross an ocean or climb a mountain. Sometimes it starts with simply getting outside.

Caring for your body isn’t just about physical health. It’s about what’s happening beneath the surface, too.

We’re building a giving program into Temple: Proceeds from our sales will go toward giving men and women who are struggling with sexual addiction free access to professional therapy.

We believe that healing is possible for everyone. That we become the worst versions of ourselves when we buy the lies of shame and that we become the best versions of ourselves when we recognize all that Jesus did for us.

Our hope is that Temple can play a small part in spreading the good news.

Every jar is an opportunity to be part of something bigger.

Just the Beginning

What started as a search for better skincare has grown into something much more personal.

A brand built around caring for the bodies we’ve been given, living adventurously, and helping people find lasting freedom through Jesus Christ.
